Evan Stamer was born to race. Since the age of 12, he’s been behind the wheel, driving with the kind of natural feel and competitive edge you can’t teach. He started in karts and quickly made a name for himself, competing on nearly every major track in the country. It wasn’t long before people started to notice.
One of those people was David Tuaty, owner of TLM USA Racing:
“From the moment he arrived in the pit, Evan was all business—professional, focused, and easy to work with. He never put a wheel wrong the entire weekend. Evan’s a seriously talented young man. I’m excited to see what he does this season.”
Evan’s path took a big step forward when he was nominated, invited, and competed in the Mazda MX-5 Shootout by Mazda Motorsports, with never driving a Mazda prior to the shootout, he finished third in a field packed with seasoned drivers. That same year, he put in the work, logging hours at Skip Barber Racing School, their advanced open-wheel program, and Lucas Oil Racing School, getting seat time in both sports cars and formula cars.
All of that hard work paid off when Evan earned a spot in the Road to Indy USF2000 Series, jumping straight into a wings-and-slicks formula car. He showed up as the only true rookie with zero pro racing experience—going wheel-to-wheel with drivers who’d been racing open-wheel cars for years and earned multiple hard-charger awards, awarded to those that make up the most positions in a race.
“Making that leap was huge,” Evan says. “It was intense, but I learned fast. I didn’t just survive—I competed and kept improving. I’m proud of how far I came that season.”
Merle Bettenhausen, a veteran of the sport, put it like this:
“I’ve watched Evan race over the past four years, and his growth has been incredible. He’s smart, patient, intense, and always striving for perfection—everything you want in a winning driver.”
After his season in open-wheel, Evan turned his focus to endurance and sports car racing—racing GT4 and GT3 cars like the BMW M2 and M4, Aston Martin GT4, and Porsche 911 GT3 Cup on legendary tracks like Daytona, COTA, VIR, Sebring, Road America, and more.
When he’s not racing professionally, Evan stays sharp by jumping into anything with wheels—cars, karts, you name it. He recently raced a laydown enduro kart at Daytona International Speedway, hitting 125+ MPH just inches off the ground.
“Driving different types of cars pushes me to get better. I love the challenge—and the learning never stops.”
When asked what kind of team he wants to race for, Evan doesn’t hesitate:
“A passionate group of people working together to be the absolute best—every lap, every time.”
His motto?
Passion. Performance. Podium.
Let’s go racing.
